Stock bike: 197 kilos !!! It's enormous, for the road the bike can let some guys happy, but when you start to turn the right wrist, you see quickly the bikes limit. The feeling is the bike doesn't want to go where we tell it to go, and this bad feeling is due to the Rotary system. This rear shock absorber has a bad setting and this stock rear shock has a bad setting and the mainframe seems to be out of date: the bike is tacking, is heavy to blanceSo to avoid a dangerous behaviour, the front fork is blocked and when you install a good rear shock, the front fork is now out of date !! a Big shit !T2R's decided to install a bitubo WZM type, which replaces the stock absorber advantageously. But for 2004, we star again with an innovative technology. Like this, the main frame has been modified to receive a Delcmap rear shock absorber. On the pictures below, you see the differences between a stock mainframe and the cut mainframe with 4 kilos less !!! Stock it's 16.2 kilos, and now 12.2 kilos Of Course, cutting the mainframe is not easy and to find a very good professional in france... it's nearly impossible. Laurent Pradon ( RS Product boss ) has decided to take the challenge. Here the exhaust system doesn't take place through the swingarm, but aournd the delcamp absorber. So the threnghtening piecehas been modified to enlarge the hole. A computer made attachment replaces the heavy girders. Like this, you "delete" many weight. So to have an exhaust system around the delcmap energie, it wasn't an easy job but now, the result is very very very fabulous!
After seeing the mainframe modification, let's see the bodywork. Here, it's the same thing, to realise like your dreamvision, you must find a good guy, and Franck was. He started on a Pulse 500GP bodywork because the look looks like the TLR ( a little bit ), rear seat is an 500 V2 honda rear seat adapted for the bike, it's a self supporting seat, only 1.5 kilos complete!! The tank is narrower than stock one, and it' weight is only 2.4 kilos. It's easier to press it betwenn our legs, and the whole is more dynamic and more pleasant to drive, more dynamic for quick angles changes After franck carbone carbon bodywork, the paint by Cannonball based at Nimes city at south of france.
Cannonball was very happy to particpate for the 2004 version because now he loves the bike like this ( excepted the tank, but....) So this is the result But only a ggod paint is not enough, so we had the chance to install BST fullcarbon wheels ont the bike. imported in france by Ram. theses wheels are marvelous !!!! Aéronautic made, light weight ( lighter than forged magnesium wheels). You can see below, the test for tüv homologation.The rear wheel is the lighter around the world, stock gsxr have: 11890 grs, BST wheels have 6748 grammes, so you have 5143 grs less !!!! 43% less
